The built-in Hidden album only tucks photos and videos out of view — anyone holding your phone can open it in a couple of taps, with the same passcode that unlocks everything else. To actually hide them, use an encrypted vault like Sealby: add photos and videos from your library, or snap a photo straight into the vault, and they’re encrypted on your device with AES-256 and locked behind their own PIN. Once a copy is safely inside, delete the original from Photos — and nothing readable is left on your camera roll.

Snap the photo with Sealby’s built-in camera and it goes straight into the vault, so no original is ever created on the camera roll.
Yes — videos are first-class. Short clips and long recordings are imported and encrypted the same way as photos, each under its own per-file key. A video simply counts as one of your files, protected exactly like a picture.
No. Sealby has no account and no servers. If you turn on Premium iCloud backup, what leaves your device is an opaque encrypted blob that neither Apple nor Sealby can open.
