Use case

Private photos and videos, for your eyes only.

Everyone has photos and videos that aren’t for passing around. And everyone hands their unlocked phone to someone eventually. Sealby keeps private pictures and clips in an encrypted vault only you can open, so handing over your phone no longer exposes them.

How do I hide private photos and videos on an iPhone?

The built-in Hidden album only moves photos out of view. Anyone holding your phone can open it with a couple of taps and your phone passcode. To really hide them, use an encrypted vault like Sealby. Add photos and videos from your library, or take new ones straight into the vault. They’re encrypted on your device with AES-256, behind their own PIN. Then delete the originals from Photos, including Recently Deleted.

Import from your library, or capture straight in

Bring in existing photos and videos, then delete the originals so only the encrypted copy remains. Or take a new photo with Sealby’s own camera, straight into the vault. Every picture and every clip is encrypted with its own key.

A vault for every audience

Keep an everyday vault you can open in front of anyone, and a hidden one that nothing in the app points to. A different PIN opens a different vault. Handing your phone over, or being told to unlock it, is no longer a risk.

Encrypted, not just hidden

Hiding only works until someone looks. Sealby uses real encryption, AES-256-GCM with keys kept in the Secure Enclave. Even a full backup of your phone holds nothing readable.

Common questions

Is Sealby better than the iPhone Hidden album for photos and videos?

The Hidden album keeps photos and videos out of the main grid. But anyone holding your unlocked phone can open it with one tap, using the same passcode as the phone itself. Sealby encrypts each photo and video with AES-256 and keeps them behind their own PIN, and nothing on the phone points to the vault.

Does Sealby delete photos from my camera roll automatically?

No, and that’s on purpose. When you import, Sealby makes an encrypted copy in the vault and leaves your original where it is. Nothing is removed without you. Once the copy is safely inside, delete the original from Photos yourself. Want to skip that step? Take the photo with Sealby’s built-in camera. It goes straight into the vault, and no original is ever created in your camera roll.

Can I keep videos in Sealby, not just photos?

Yes. Videos are treated just like photos. Short clips and long recordings are imported and encrypted the same way, each with its own key.

Can my photos and videos end up on a server somewhere?

No. Sealby has no account and no servers. If you turn on Premium iCloud backup, what leaves your device is encrypted data that neither Apple nor Sealby can open.

Your vault is waiting.

Download Sealby and protect what matters. Setup takes under a minute, and there’s no account to create.
