What does your photo reveal?

Every photo carries hidden metadata: where it was taken, on what device, and when. Drop a photo below and see exactly what a stranger could learn from the file.

Nothing is uploaded. Your photo never leaves this device.

Best supported: JPEG · PNG · WebP · TIFF. HEIC and AVIF are partly supported. Checked on your device, never uploaded.

This check runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload, no server and no account. You can even switch off Wi-Fi before picking a photo, and it still works.

Protect yourself

Three habits that keep your photo metadata from talking:

  1. Strip location before sharing

When sharing from an iPhone, tap Options at the top of the share sheet and switch off Location. The copy you send goes out without coordinates.

  2. Mind the originals

Uploads to social apps usually lose metadata, but files sent as “original quality”, e-mailed, or synced to shared drives keep everything — location included.

  3. Keep private photos in an encrypted vault

Any app with photo access can read the originals in your camera roll, metadata and all. Sealby moves them into an encrypted vault only you can open, with the metadata sealed inside.

Seal your private photos

Sealby: the encrypted, deniable photo vault for iPhone. No account, no servers.
