Private PDF check
Check your PDF details
See and remove names, apps and other hidden document details.
Your PDF stays on this device. The cleaned copy is checked again before download.
What a PDF can quietly say
A PDF can carry an author name, the app that made it, dates and sometimes a computer folder name. The words are not visible on the page, but they can travel with the file.
How the clean copy works
The browser makes a fresh PDF containing the document pages, without the original document-details or embedded metadata packet. It reads that new copy again before offering the download.
Honest limits
Password-protected PDFs are not opened. Embedded files, page content, comments and scanned text can still contain identifying information; this is a metadata cleaner, not a document redactor.
PDF metadata questions
Can a PDF reveal my name?
Yes. Author, creator and software fields can contain a name or account detail, even when it is not shown on the page.
Does this upload my PDF?
No. Reading and creating the clean copy happen in this browser on your device.
Does removing metadata redact the PDF?
No. Text, images, comments and attached files may still reveal information. Check the visible document before you share it.
