Family code word kit

A familiar voice is no longer proof. Pick one private phrase your family can ask for. Then agree on the rule that matters more: no code word means hang up and call back on a number you already know.

Choose a code-word candidate

These are two random words from the same audited EFF list used by our passphrase generator. Say them aloud. Keep the pair that your family will remember without writing it in a public place.

Five fresh candidates

A two-word family check is not an account password. Its job is to stop a rushed impersonation call long enough for you to verify another way.

Is your idea easy to guess?

Tap anything that is true. The tool checks the shape of your idea, never the words themselves.

Check your idea against all three clues.

Print the family protocol

The wallet card carries the procedure, not the secret. A lost card should teach the finder nothing about your code word.

Our family verification rule

For an urgent or unusual call, ask for the family code word.

No code word → hang up → call back on the known number.

  1. Do not use a number, link or payment route supplied by the caller.
  2. Call the person from your saved contacts or another trusted channel.
  3. A real emergency can survive a short verification pause.

Tell the code word in person or on a call you started. Do not print it on this card.

Why this works

Voice cloning can make an urgent call sound familiar. It cannot know a private family habit that was never posted or supplied during the call.

The code word is only the pause button. The real security step is calling back through a route you already trusted before the emergency began.

Questions people ask

What is a family code word?

It is a private word or short phrase family members use to verify an unusual call or message. It is not an account password; it is a prompt to pause and call back safely.

What makes a good family code word?

Use something memorable but unrelated to names, dates, addresses or facts visible online. Two unrelated random words are simple to say and harder for an impersonator to guess.

Should I write the code word on the wallet card?

No. The card should carry only the protocol. Share the actual code word directly with the people who need it, then treat it as private.

What if the caller does not know the code word?

Hang up and call the person on a number already in your contacts. Do not continue through a number, link or helper supplied by the caller.

A calm plan beats an urgent voice.

Sealby protects the private documents, photos and instructions behind the conversation. The family code word protects the moment before anyone acts.
