Leave the page field empty to number every page, or enter pages and ranges to number only those pages. Numbers are placed at the bottom right.
When it helps
Useful for a scanned packet, a printout, or a document where people need an easy way to refer to a page.
Encrypted PDFs
This editor does not bypass passwords or permission restrictions. If a PDF needs a password, open it with the password you know first. We do not crack or guess passwords. For a new protected copy, use password protect a PDF.
Limits
Very large PDFs can run out of browser memory. Scanned documents stay scans: this tool does not perform OCR. For photos, IDs and contracts you handle repeatedly, see our guide to IDs and financial documents.
