Add photos and videos to your vaults from your camera roll, or take photos straight into the vault with the secure camera, so those photos never touch the camera roll at all. When you open photos and videos from the vault, they decrypt in memory rather than to a temporary file. After confirming an import, delete the original from your camera roll and Recently Deleted if you do not want those copies to remain. Copies stored or shared elsewhere are not removed.

PDFs, scans, spreadsheets, archives, audio. Every file type is encrypted the same way, with a key of its own, and opens inside Sealby with the built-in viewer. A file never sits unencrypted on disk, not even while you are looking at it.

Keep separate vaults, each with its own PIN, pattern or passphrase and its own contents. Nothing is shared or listed between them: the app keeps no index of how many exist, so a vault you have not opened is indistinguishable from none at all.

With Premium, a vault backs up to your own iCloud and syncs to your iPad or a second iPhone. It is off by default and switched on per vault. iCloud holds only encrypted blocks of a fixed size, so neither Apple nor Sealby sees anything readable.

Each vault has its own 12-word phrase, generated on your device and held only by you. There is no master key and no company reset. The phrase restores that vault, and only that vault, from a backup onto any iPhone signed in to your iCloud account, even after this one is lost or wiped.

Save an encrypted copy of a vault anywhere you like: Files, a USB drive, a disk in a drawer.

Sealby locks the moment you leave it, and every key is cleared from memory. The app switcher shows a blank screen, never your content, and coming back means unlocking again.

One action wipes every vault on this device, for the moment you need it all gone. You can also destroy a single vault and leave the others untouched. With iCloud backup on, this also deletes the encrypted iCloud copy, and its recovery phrase can no longer restore it; without backup, the vault exists only on this device.

Access here then requires the vault’s 12-word recovery phrase. Other devices are unchanged. It adds no encryption layer; losing the phrase and every other accessible copy means losing access.

Any vault can stay on this phone and never sync. Your choice, per vault, and you can change it later. A local-only vault has no copy anywhere else, which is the point: lose the phone and the vault goes with it, unless you kept an encrypted export.
