Yes. Sealby organises each vault with folders and sub-folders, tags that work across folders, and search over file names and the text of your notes. The index is encrypted inside the vault, so nothing about your files, not even their names, is readable outside it.

The index never leaves the vault
Folder names, tags and file names are part of the vault’s encrypted contents. Search runs only after the vault is unlocked, in memory on your iPhone. Opening a file decrypts it in memory too; no readable temporary file is written.
Any file, not just photos
PDFs, scans, spreadsheets, archives, audio and video sit in the same folders as your photos and notes, each encrypted with its own key. The built-in viewer opens them without handing them to another app.
What to know
Organisation lives inside each vault. Search covers the vault you have open; it never looks across vaults, because Sealby does not know which other vaults exist. Free vaults hold up to 20 items each, including up to 5 videos; Premium removes the cap.
Common questions
Does search work across all my vaults?
No, by design. Search covers the open vault only. A search across vaults would require a list of vaults, and Sealby keeps none.
Are folders and tags free?
Yes, on every tier.
What can I keep in a vault?
Photos, videos, documents, PDFs, effectively any file, plus notes. Every item is encrypted with its own key.
