Notes on this comparison

We compare published features, not independently tested security. A red cross earns no credit: the feature is unsupported, has a drawback, or is labelled “Not advertised” because we found no claim in the checked sources. “Not advertised” does not prove a feature is absent. An amber dash means documented partial support. A grey question mark is reserved for checks we could not assess and is excluded from the ranking score.

How does LockMyPix compare with Sealby?

Both apps hold photos, documents and notes. Sealby adds hidden vaults with no stored list or count, free cold vaults and an optional duress PIN. LockMyPix also has an Android app.

What to keep in mind
  • Fake Vault and automatic cloud backup require Premium; availability can differ between platforms.
  • On iOS, deleting the app deletes its local files. Make a usable backup first.

What LockMyPix is built for

  • Encrypts on the device rather than only hiding files, according to the developer
  • No account needed for local use
  • Available on iPhone, iPad, Apple-silicon Macs, Android and Amazon devices
  • Encrypted backups to your own cloud account; supported services vary by platform
  • Folders, notes, a fake vault (Premium) and intruder photos

What to consider

  • Its App Store privacy label (as listed 4 October 2026) includes a “Data Used to Track You” section
  • The free version shows ads
  • No documented hidden vaults that leave no stored list or count or duress PIN

The honest verdict

Choose Sealby for hidden vaults without ads or tracking. Consider LockMyPix if having its apps on Android and iPhone is important to you.
