Use case

A real notes app, sealed shut.

Most photo lockers treat text as an afterthought. Sealby has rich-text notes next to PDFs, scans and any other file. Organize with folders, tags and search. Everything is encrypted before it is saved.

What is the most private way to keep notes on an iPhone?

Use a vault that encrypts notes and files on your device, and keep it locked when not in use. Sealby uses AES-256 and stores no list or count of vaults. The app, an open vault, a known credential or copies elsewhere can still expose private material or leave clues.

Rich text, not scraps

Bold, italics, strikethrough and headings — real writing. Journals, drafts, and the notes you would never leave in a cloud notes app.

Organized and findable

Folders, tags and instant search inside each vault. Search runs entirely on your device, so nothing readable about your notes ever leaves it.

No service to breach

Sealby requires no account and runs no servers for your content. That limits what Sealby holds; it does not remove data on your devices or in copies elsewhere, or determine what you may be required to provide.

Common questions

How is this different from locked notes in Apple Notes?

Apple Notes locks individual notes, but the Notes app, the note titles and the note count stay visible. Sealby seals whole vaults of notes and files and keeps no stored list or count of vaults. Every vault also has its own recovery phrase that doesn’t depend on your Apple ID.

Can I store PDFs and scans alongside notes?

Yes. Any file type — PDFs, scans, spreadsheets, archives — is encrypted with its own key and lives next to your notes with folders, tags and search.

Your vault is waiting.

Download Sealby and protect what matters. Setup takes under a minute, and there’s no account to create.
