Use case
A wallet seed phrase belongs offline, not in a screenshot, notes app or cloud drive. Sealby can protect the supporting records: which wallets you use, where their offline backups are kept and how to find the recovery instructions. Do not include the seed words themselves.
Keep the actual seed phrase offline on a verified paper or suitable metal backup, following your wallet's guidance. Do not enter the words into Sealby or make a digital copy of them. Use an encrypted vault for the wallet inventory and instructions pointing to the offline backup, without including the seed words or fragments that could reconstruct them.
Keep wallet names, device details and directions to offline backups in encrypted notes. These records can still be sensitive, so keep the vault locked when it is not in use. Do not add the actual seed words, photos of them or reconstructable fragments.
Sealby does not require a Sealby account or email login. Optional Premium iCloud backup stores encrypted data under your Apple account. No Sealby account does not mean no phishing risk: your wallet, other accounts and any records you reveal still need protection.
Use separate vaults for ordinary content and sensitive wallet records. Different PINs open different vaults, and Sealby stores no vault list or count. This does not guarantee a safe response from someone demanding access or make the installed app unnoticeable.
No. This workflow keeps the actual seed offline. Encryption in an app is not a reason to make a digital seed copy. Sealby can hold a wallet inventory and instructions pointing to the offline backup, not the seed words themselves.
To recover your Sealby records after losing the phone, you need an available encrypted copy, such as a completed backup or an encrypted export saved elsewhere, and that vault's recovery phrase. The phrase cannot recreate missing data. Restoring the wallet itself uses its separate offline seed backup.
